Ninth Grade On-Track is the percentage of students in their first year of high school who have earned at least 25% of the number of credits required for a high school diploma. This is a minimum of 6 credits, but may be higher in districts that require more credits for a diploma than the state’s minimum. Students are included in the rates of the district and school they were resident in on the first school day in May, provided that they had been enrolled in the district or school for a full academic year, as determined by the amount of ADM claimed for the student. Credits earned toward this calculation may be counted as long as they were awarded by the beginning of the next school year, including advanced credits earned in 8th grade and summer school credits. All data comes from Ninth Grade On-Track and 3rd period Cumulative ADM except for English Learner, Ever English Learner, Migrant, Homeless, Foster and Ever Foster.
